TEWKSBURY — On Monday, four members of the Danvers-Lynnfield co-op gymnastics team competed in the state individuals at Tewksbury High.

Kaylee Wescott was in the all-around coming in fourth with a total score of 37.275. She was third on the floor exercise (9.7), and sixth in the vault (9.5) and on the bars (9.175).

Lynnfield’s Camryn Donovan was fourth on the bars with a 9.425, while her sister, Callie, tied for sixth on the floor with a 9.15.

Delainy Murphy finished tied for ninth on the bars.

The seedings also came out for the MIAA gymnastics North Sectionals which will take place on Feb. 24 at Algonquin Regional High School.

The Falcons will be the third seed with a score of 145.51. Only the top 12 teams in the North qualify.

Central Catholic, at 151.25, and Masconomet, at 149.12, are the two schools head of Danvers-Lynnfield.

North Andover, Acton-Boxboro, Reading, Wilmington-Bedford, Burlington, Westford Academy, Andover, Winchester and Arlington are the other teams involved.

The North sectionals will start at 3 p.m.

“The team is very excited for the meet this weekend,” said Falcons head coach Jen Habeeb. “There’s just a different energy at the sectional and state meets that the girls love. Everyone is cheering super loud and it’s a great experience to be a part of.”

Only the top four teams will advance to the state finals which takes place on March 2, also at Algonquin High. That event will start at 2 p.m.

This season, the Falcons finished in second place behind Masconomet in the NEC-CAL as they went 6-1. Masconomet, who has won the last four state titles, gave Lynnfield-Danvers its only loss this winter.

Last year, the Falcons finished second in the states, which was the team’s best-ever showing.
