MALDEN — Marion J. Boggia, 87, passed away on June 16, 2018.
Mrs. Boggia was born in Malden on August 28, 1930 to the late Douglas and Irene (Best) Marshall. She was raised in Malden, graduated from Malden High School and was a lifelong resident of Malden.
Marion worked part time for Jordan Marsh in Boston as a model and also worked for Pan Am Airlines for several years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mom or Nana as she was called cherished and loved her family. She was always very involved with her kids and grandkids. She spent many years having Sunday dinners with the family and during the holidays there was a steady stream of baked goods. The family continued that tradition after their dad had passed along with taking her on vacations and just spending weekends with her. Marion – Nana or “Midge” as her husband called her, was Ed’s sweetheart from middle school was happily married for over 50 years.
Mrs. Boggia loved to travel and spend time at her cottage in Windham, N.H. She took frequent trips with her girlfriends to every yard sale in a 50 mile radius from Mass. to N.H. Let’s not forgot the countless trips and bus rides to Foxwoods, Twin River and Vegas hoping to hit the jackpot to share with her family. The family knows heaven will have the jack-pot she was hoping for and heaven has gained a new angle. The Boggia family were blessed to have their mom as long as they did and to be there for them as they grew to adulthood. The love she had for her family truly showed and will be in their hearts forever.
Marion was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Boggia. Loving mother of Janet Boggia of R.I., Lisa Boggia of Malden, Edward Boggia and his wife Patricia of Wilmington, and Kirk Boggia of Natick. Proud grandmother of Christopher, Alex, EJ, Brittany, and Mariel.
