Wall steps down as varsity football coach

NORTH READING — North Reading High School Athletic Director David Johnson was notified on Saturday night via email that Jeff Wall has stepped down as head coach of the NRHS football program.

“North Reading wants to thank Jeff for his 14 years as head coach which culminated with back-to-back Cape Ann League championships in 2016 and 2017,” said Johnson.

Principal AJ Loprete has instructed the North Reading High School Athletic Department to begin forming an interview committee as quickly as possible. 

“The job will be immediately posted and the interview process will take place in the next two weeks,” Loprete stated. “We look forward to hiring a new coach by the end of the month.”
