WAKEFIELD — The going may be a little slow tomorrow on Route 128 in Wakefield and Lynnfield.
According to the Mass. Department of Transportation, two lanes will be closed on I-95 northbound and southbound in Lynnfield and Wakefield between Exit 43 (Walnut Street) and Exit 38 (Route 28) between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to allow work crews to install pavement markings.
Work originally scheduled for earlier in the week was cancelled due to wet pavement conditions.
MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes to avoid delays. Drivers that must travel through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
The work is part of a $10.7 Million project to resurface and rehabilitate this section of Route I-95.
