MELROSE — The Melrose Chamber of Commerce and the City of Melrose announce the Fifth Annual Summer Stroll: An Adult Evening on Main Street, on Friday, July 28.

You are invited to come to downtown Melrose and take some time to stroll and discover what makes Main Street in Melrose so special.

With generous support from Summer Stroll Event Sponsor, LCM PLUS, and a grant from the Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts, the Summer Stroll is an evening of music, dining, shopping and socializing. Patronize your favorite restaurants and retailers, while visiting ones that are new to you!

To create a spacious pedestrian walkway complete with outdoor dining, store sales, sampling, live performances and more, Main Street will be closed to vehicles, spanning from Upham Street to Grove Street.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be multiple, live musical performances by area musicians and a magical illusionist who will entertain along Main Street. Restaurants will serve food and beverages on the sidewalk, while local merchants will offer tastings, specials and sales within their stores. In addition, the Melrose Family YMCA will offer babysitting services that night, and as limited space is available registration is required so call the YMCA at 781-665-4360.

Additional children’s programming will also be offered at Joy Yoga in Melrose. With limited space available, visit https://www.joyhealthylife.com/joy-healthy-kids.html to reserve your child’s spot.

This is a rain or shine event.
