GREENSBORO, NC — The North Reading Boys Spring Track season wrapped up this past weekend in Greensboro, NC as the 800 Meter Sprint Medley team of Jackson Hastings, Matt McCarthy, Nick Copelas and Tom Helms finished 45th out of 60 teams in the Championship event at the New Balance National Championships which were held at North Carolina A & T Stadium. The boys ran a school record 1:36.56 which was exactly a full second faster than their previous mark that qualified them for Nationals.

David Smith finished 22nd in the Javelin in the Emerging Elite category with a throw of 148’ 3”.

This was an excellent way to finish up the season and next year’s squad looks to return with more National qualifiers.
