Bugley-Obit-webNORTH READING — George R. Bugley, II – 71, of North Reading, died at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, June 23, 2015.

Born in Chelsea on December 28, 1943, he was the son of the late William O. and Clara L. (Mank) Bugley. He was raised and attended school in North Reading and was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1962. George worked as a shipper and receiver for the Packard Paper Box Company in Peabody for many years and later worked as a Limo Driver for FlightLine in Salem, NH.

George was a kind man, he made a perfect neighbor, a simple man, who didn’t ask for much and was easy to please. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed company. He was very sentimental and cried from a gesture of love or a sappy movie. He was a handy man and had the trinket for anything and could fix it.

He has been a resident of North Reading since 1957 and he enjoyed the Morning Senior Coffee Club at McDonald’s.

Family members include his loving daughters, Michelle C. Cushing and her fiancé Norm Caissie of Cape Coral, FL and Kimberly A. Wright of North Reading; his grandchildren, Emma and Hannah Wright, of North Reading (who resided with George) and Tyler and Cameron Bugley of Burlington; his brother, William Bugley and wife Suzanne of Tewksbury; his mother–in–law, Genevieve Patnoe of Nashua, NH; his niece, Linda McCullough of Tewksbury and many other nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Douglas A. Bugley and brother of the late Edward Bugley and Joan (Bugley) Carter.

His funeral will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Friday, June 26 at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
