NORTH READING – Chief Don Stats and the North Reading Fire Department announce the promotion of firefighter Michael Tannian to captain. His swearing in ceremony was held on September 6 at Town Hall.

Capt. Tannian has been a member of the North Reading Fire Department for 31 years. He began his career as a call firefighter in 1992 and become a permanent member of the department in 1998.

During his time at the department, Capt. Tannian had the special opportunity of watching two of his sons, Jason and Liam, be sworn in as members of the North Reading Fire Department earlier this year.

“I want to congratulate Capt. Tannian on this accomplishment and thank him for his commitment and dedication to the fire service,” said Chief Stats. “I look forward to seeing Capt. Tannian in his new role and I am excited to see what he accomplishes next.”
