MELROSE — Rose-Marie Giangregorio, of Melrose, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on November 16. Born in Malden, Rose-Marie spent her early years in the vibrant community of Chelsea before making Melrose her cherished home for 45 years.

Rose-Marie’s journey through life was marked by love, compassion and a deep devotion to family. She was the loving wife of Tony for 60 years, a partnership that stood as a testament to enduring love and commitment. Together, they built a life filled with shared memories, laughter and unwavering support for one another. They traveled extensively over the years, enjoying every minute of their retirement. She also was a longtime member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield.

Family was the heart of Rose-Marie’s world and her legacy lives on through her two devoted children, Steven and Anthony and their loving spouses Sheri and Jody. Rose-Marie was a source of strength, guidance and unwavering love for her family, creating a home filled with warmth and joy.

Her love extended to her five grandchildren: Michael, Katelyn, Jeffrey, Joseph and Domenic, who were the light of her life. Rose-Marie took immense pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them.

Rose-Marie is also survived by her sisters, Helen Detres and Elizabeth Vasquez; and she is predeceased by her sister Anne Arender and her parents Edward and Lucy Belmonte. In both joyous and challenging times, Rose-Marie’s sisters provided a foundation of support and shared memories that will be forever treasured.

Rose-Marie embraced life with a contagious optimism. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and resilience that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends were invited to gather in honor of Rose-Marie’s life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, November 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
