MELROSE — Find something special for a female friend or yourself at a women’s jewelry and accessories swap on Wednesday, February 7. The free event will be held at The Worklery’s co-working and art space at 441 Main St., 3rd fl. from 6 to 8 p.m. Zero Waste Melrose and The Worklery created the eco-friendly offering with a nod to Galentine’s Day, a February 13 holiday celebrating female friendships observed throughout the first half of February.
As with previous local swaps, everyone is welcome and there’s no need to drop off to take something. Attendees can bring only these categories of items to the swap: women’s jewelry and watches; handbags, purses, hip packs and slings; gloves/mittens, hats and scarves (for all seasons); wallets and belts; non-prescription sun and reading glasses; and small travel accessories (luggage tags and passport holders). Please limit “gives” to clean, dry and gently used items that can fit in one shopping bag.
ZWM, a volunteer group with a 25+ year history of reducing waste in Melrose through initiatives and education, is hosting a series of themed swap events. As a community-focused business, The Worklery is also dedicated to giving back, including through regular swap events that foster sharing, reuse and connection.
