WAKEFIELD — Joyce J. Mullane, age 75, of Wakefield, formerly of Cambridge, Arlington and Reading died on Wednesday, July 24 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in Cambridge of September 9, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Preston and Ada (Ghilardi) Rhoades. Joyce was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin 1966. She also graduated from Bentley College with a degree in Management. She enjoyed spending time at her home on Marthas Vineyard, traveling and a good glass of Chardonay. Her latest passion was pickleball.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Giovanangelo. She was the loving mother of Mark Mullane and his wife Melissa of Sandown, NH. She was the sister of Jackie Coffman, Virginia Mawhinney, Lorraine Myette, Nancy Petraglia and the late Donna Bernard and Linda Sederquist. Joyce was also survived by her two grandchildren Olivia and Elliot.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. on Wednesday, July 31 at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, July 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
