NORTH READING resident Cameron Smith began his law enforcement career as a full-time Patrol Officer for the North Reading Police Department on Tuesday, July 30 after being sworn in by Town Clerk Susan Duplin. Smith graduated from the 26-week Lynnfield MPTC Police Academy on July 29. His Field Training Program will last for approximately the next 12 weeks.
