MELROSE — Tickets now on sale for Sips for Scholarships. After last year’s sold-out success, The Melrose High School Permanent Scholarship Fund’s Sips for Scholarships Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 5 at Bellevue Golf Club.

Join us for an evening of tastings including craft beer, fine wines and spirits provided by Nasty Nonni’s Wine & Spirits. The evening will also include heavy appetizers, live music, a cashless bar (visa/mc) and a vibrant community atmosphere.

On this evening, The Fund is honoring the Beth A. Lucien Scholarship. In 2021 Beth’s family endowed the Beth A. Lucien Scholarship which is awarded each year to a student who shows strong empathy to others, achieves academic excellence, participates in multiple sports or who may need financial assistance.

Beth Lucien graduated from Lynnfield High School, The University of Michigan and Babson College later settling in Melrose with her husband Peter (MHS 1989) and her three children. Beth utilized her passion for helping people while working for many years in the Mayor’s office at Melrose City Hall and later at SDM Foundation. Beth had many passions which included, reading, socializing and learning, but what she loved most was being a mother to her three children.
