WAKEFIELD — The Friends of the Beebe Library Book Sale Team is beginning work for their 2025 Book Sale and organizers now have to focus on the collection of books.
According to a release, a spokesperson said, “We are collecting books only – no textbooks, CDs, DVDs, records or puzzles.
Books should be in good condition with a strong spine, no musty smell or mold or water damaged pages. It is such a great time to clear off the shelves and help us to support the various programs at the Beebe!
“The October drive will be this Wednesday, October 16, 3 to 7 p.m. at the Hurd School, 27 Cordis St., corner of Pleasant. Drive into the rear parking lot and we will unload your car. We try to staff appropriately, please use the sign-up link on our website at www.friendsofbeebe.org. If that link does not work for you, please feel free to come without a reserved time and we will do our best to unload you quickly.
“The Friends of Beebe financially purchases the Museum Passes that you can reserve with your library card and recently paid for the new virtual meeting rooms on the 2nd floor of the Beebe. Need quiet space for a virtual meeting? You can reserve this space online. Our sole source of funding comes from the Book Sale and Membership.
“Please consider becoming a member and donate books on Wednesday, October 16.”
