NORTH READING — The public is invited to participate in the annual property tax classification public hearing at the Select Board’s next meeting on Monday, Nov. 4.
The public hearing will begin at 7:45 p.m. in room 14 at Town Hall, 235 North St. and is also accessible via Zoom. The link for the virtual meeting is posted in the public hearing notice published in today’s Transcript and will also be available as a live link on the board’s agenda which will be posted to the calendar page of the town’s website (northreadingma.gov) by Thursday afternoon.
The purpose of the tax classification hearing is to “determine the percentage of the local tax levy to be borne by each class of real and personal property” in the next fiscal year.
Taxpayers who cannot attend the meeting are welcome to submit written testimony to the board no later than noon on Monday, Nov. 4 either by mail, dropping it off in person to the Select Board office at Town Hall or via email at townadministrator@northreadingma.gov.
