Warriors have six entries, two relays in Div. 4 meet

BOSTON — The Warrior girls’ indoor track team will have six individual entries and two relay teams in the Div. 4 championship meet which is scheduled to be run today at 4:30 p.m. at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

There are runners that will be the 300 meter dash, 600 meter run, 1000 meter run, mile, hurdles and shot put. Also, Wakefield’s 4×200 relay and 4×800 relay teams have made the cut for the state meet as well.

In the 300 meter dash, Sam Ross, a senior, is seeded 28th among 33 entries with a time of 44.69 seconds.

Abby Harrington, a junior, is ranked 12th in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:42.94. There are 40 runners that have qualified for the event.

There are 42 runners entered in the 1000 meter run field. Junior Cassie Lucci is seeded 41st with a time of 3:21.72.

In the mile, freshman Amanda Westlake is ranked 34th among 37 runners at 5:46.15.

Senior Sarah Buckley is seeded 18th in the 55 meter hurdles among 38 hurdlers. Buckley’s qualifying time is 9.58 seconds.

The 4×200 relay team is ranked 19th out of 33 schools with a time of 1:54.61. The four relay runners could include sophomore Ana Lucas, Buckley, Harrington, Ross, sophomore Morgan Haggerty, sophomore Mikayla Ledoux-Walsh and freshman Christina LeBlanc.

There are 21 entries in the 4×800 relay and the Warriors are seeded 20th at 10:54.41. The four runners could include Lucci, Westlake, senior Sara Custodio, sophomore Gillian Russell, freshman Isabella Kehoe, senior Erin Lucey, Harrington and freshman Jen Summers.

Eadeen Beck, a freshman, is ranked 15th out of 40 throwers in the shot put with a distance of 31-10.
