WAKEFIELD — Wakefield resident Grace McCarthy scored her 300th career point in girls’ lacrosse as a member of the Austin Prep varsity girls’ varsity lacrosse team.
McCarthy, a senior, has been a four year varsity player for the Cougars. She reached the 300th point plateau in Austin Prep’s game yesterday against Archbishop Williams where she scored four goals and had two assists.
The Cougars won the game, 18-8.
McCarthy was last year’s league MVP in the Catholic Central League and is in the running for the honor again this year.
