THE MANDATORY ban on outside watering has entered its seventh week within the Lynnfield Center Water District (LCWD) due to the extended drought. Only hand-held watering is allowed and fines will be imposed on those caught using sprinklers or irrigation systems. The state DEP enacted the ban in June for all communities that withdraw water from the Ipswich River basin.
