Great–grandmother of two

READING — Teresa A. (Cogliano) Jenks a resident of Reading for 50 years, formerly of Charlestown and Chelsea, died at her home on Sept. 12, 2016 with her family by her side.

Teresa was born in Boston on April 10, 1938, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Rooney) Cogliano. She grew up in Charlestown and graduated from Chelsea High School. She was the beloved wife of Bernard J. “John” Jenks. Teresa was the devoted mother of Cherylann (Landis) Carney and her husband Kevin; Linda M. (Landis) Harris and her husband Richard all of North Reading; Pam Jenks and her husband Chris Tello and John B. Jenks and his wife Pamela, all of Reading. She was the cherished sister of Francis P. Mahoney of Reading and the loving grandmother of Nicholas, Matthew, Samantha, Michael, Cory, Kristina, Julia and Allie and loving great–grandmother of Nicholas Jr. and Lexie. She also leaves her trusted companion, Patches.

A memorial service celebrating her life was held on Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn Street), Reading. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Teresa’s memory to All Care Hospice 210 Market St., Lynn MA 01901.
