WAKEFIELD — Shirley M. Reineck, 87, of Wakefield died Thursday, January 26, at her residence.
She was born in Saugus on May 25, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Armand and Maude (Hatch) Decareau.
Shirley was raised in Saugus and was a Wakefield resident since 1956. She retired from the Greenwood Nursing Home and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley was the wife of Robert W. Reineck. She was the the loving mother of Stephen Reineck and wife Donna of IA, Susan M. Walsh and husband Robert of Melrose, Roberta McNulty and husband Stephen of Sharon, Nancy Allison and husband Robert of CA, and Ronald Reineck and wife Betsy of IA. She was the brother of William Decareau of CA. She was the grandmother of her five grandchildren: Sharon Kaufman and her husband Michael, Kevin McNulty, Kate Devereaux and her husband Ed, Kurt Reineck and his wife Sarah, and Thomas Walsh and his wife Meagan. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren: Paris, Arie, Leo, Nina, Avery, Benjamin, Annabelle and William.
The funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, January 31, at 11. Visitation for relatives and friends will be prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery.
