Bevely-Dorman-obit-3-10-17-webMELROSE — Bevely L. Dorman, 66, formerly of Everett, passed away on March 1, 2017.

Bevely was born in Swampscott on July 4, 1950 to Richard and Ruth (Hopkins) Dorman. She was raised in Beverly and Melrose, and graduated from Melrose High School in 1968. Following high school, Bevely earned a degree in computer science from Suffolk University. She spent many years working for the State of Massachusetts Retirement Board. Bevely went on to open Tax Solution in Everett, and she was very proud to own and operate the business for many years.

Bevely was the loving sister of Debra Ingersoll and her husband Donald of Georgia; Mary Laughton and her husband Bob Jr. of Peabody; and the late Cathy (Dorman) Griffin. She was the beloved aunt and second mother to Loree Burns and her husband Gerry of West Boylston; and Karin Griffin of Rutland. She was the caring aunt of Billy, Tony, Timmy, Keri, Tracy, and Tommy. She was the proud grandmother of Sam, Ben, Catherine and Karli. She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Visiting Hours were held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home took place on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St., Melrose. Interment was private.
