HOLDERNESS, NH — Caryl Rose (Maher) Doucette of Holderness, NH, and formerly of Wakefield, MA passed away on March 22 after a lengthly illness.
She was born in Wakefield in January 2, 1930, to the late Harold J.and Laura (Rathe) Maher.
She was married to William F. Doucette of Wakefield, who predeceased her in 1974.
Caryl attended St. Joseph’s School and graduated in the WHS Class of 1947 and received a master’s degree from Rivier College in Nashua, NH.
She is survived by her three children: Stephen Doucette of Holderness, NH; Pamela Rose Graves and husband Steven of Kittery Point, ME, and D. Christopher Doucette of Charlestown. She is survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two grandsons, William (Billy) and Stephen Doucette, predeceased her.
In addition, she is survived by her brothers Harold Maher (Jim), of Hartford, Ct., and Ronald and his wife Brenda of Center Harbor, NH; her sister Judy Bringola and her husband Thomas of N. Woodstock, NH, and brother-in-law, Arthur Shores of Weston.
Her brother Robert and his wife Jean Maher, her sister Jane Shores and sister -in- law Rose Maher predeceased her.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 10 a.m. Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield.
Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Caryl’s parent’s grave site in Forest Glade Cemetery, Lowell Street in Wakefield.
Friends are invited back to the Most Blessed Sacrament Church hall for a luncheon to commerate the life of Caryl Doucette.
During this season of Lent, flowers are not permitted at the church.
