LYNNFIELD — Hey kids, there’s still plenty of time to enter the Villager’s Geraniumfest Coloring Contest for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Meletharb’s Ice Cream for you and a free one-year subscription to the Villager for mom and dad!
The deadline to enter is Wednesday, May 31 at 4 p.m.
There are two different themes in two age categories and one winner will be selected from each age group. Younger kids, ages 6 and under, will color a picture of a butterfly and flowers. Older kids, ages 7 to 12, will use our tree outline to create the drawing of a tree that they would love to see growing in their own gardens or yards. Creativity will be rewarded.
These themes were chosen to honor the history of Townscape, which during the past 30 years has planted over 1,000 trees to beautify public streets and parks in Lynnfield by selling pretty geraniums and annual flowers, all locally grown, at Geraniumfest.
Entry forms were included in every edition of the Lynnfield Villager published on Wednesday, May 17. Entry forms were also handed out to children who attended last Saturday’s Geraniumfest and Kids’ Day event at the Lynnfield Middle School.
Additional entry forms are available in the lobby of the Lynnfield Villager’s home office in the Wakefield Item building located at 26 Albion St. in downtown Wakefield.
Completed entry forms can be hand-delivered to our office or mailed to: Lynnfield Villager, 26 Albion St., Wakefield MA 01880. Entries must be postmarked by May 31, 2017.
The Villager will publish a photograph of the winners with their winning pictures as well.
