LYNNFIELD – The Lynnfield Athletic Association’s Fourth of July Road Race was another huge success. The 5K race featured 16 Wakefield residents this year.
Shawn Wallace, 36, of Waltham, was the overall winner of the race, finishing with a time of 16:00.
Julia Hincman-Francavi, 34, of Beverly, was the women’s winner with a time of 20:01.
Chuck Connell, 50, came in 12th and finished as the fastest Wakefieldian with a time of 21:04. Connell finished second in the male 50-59 age group.
Three Recene girls competed in the race, with Fiona Recene, 10, finishing second in the female 10 and under age group with a time of 26:28. She ran the race alongside Maeve Recene, 13, who finished with a 26:14 time. The youngest Recene, Molly, 7, finished with a time of 34:05.
Wakefield resident Judy Wallace, 71, finished first in the female 70 and over age group with a time of 32:07. She finished a full eight minutes ahead of the next closest runner in her age group.
Lindsy Connolly, 30, and Jake Connolly, 30, ran the race together with Lindsy getting the bragging rights, finishing at 24:57 to Jake’s 25:17. Lindsy finished third in the female 30-39 age group.
Lori Dichiara, 51, finished third in the female 50-59 age group with a time of 27:56.
Jeff Kravitz, 62, finished third in the male 60-69 age group with a time of 25:54.
Jonathan Root, 35, was the second fastest Wakefield resident with a time of 23:55.
Other Wakefield runners included Joseph Patt, 11, (25:19); Robert Jordan, 62, (27:51); Steven Coyne, 58, (28:03); Brian Abcunas, 35, (28:48); Kristina Patt, 41, (30:31) and Jennifer Demerle, 41, (33:50).
