WAKEFIELD — Louise C. Tansino, 90, of Wakefield, died on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Boston on April 27, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Thina (Matto) Nassan.
Louise was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1947. She had been a resident of Wakefield since 2000. Louise was a retired assistant manager at the Somerville Credit Union. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and reading. Louise was also a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield.
Louise was the wife of the late Joseph Tansino. She was the loving mother of Paul Tansino and his wife Nancy of Stoneham, David Tansino and his wife Gloria of Melrose, Kristine Tansino of Portsmouth, N.H., and Michele Valenza and her husband Anthony of Wakefield. She was beloved sister of Dorothy Van Duesen of Newburyport, Alice Conley of Tustin, Calif., and the late Loretta Nicholas. Loving Grandmother of Alaina, Julianne, Keith, Katelyn, Joseph, Melissa, Brandon, Jessica, Michael, Kristina, Sarina and the late Nicholas. Great-grandmother of Logan.
Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday October 11. A funeral service was held at the funeral home on Saturday October 12.
