Brodeur takes mayor’s office by storm

MELROSE — Paul Brodeur becomes the city's next mayor in a week after receiving about 60 percent of the vote in Tuesday's ground-shifting municipal election.

Brodeur, currently a Beacon Hill lawmaker, bested Councilor-at-Large Monica Medeiros in each of the city's 14 precincts. He was a vocal supporter of last April's successful
