LYNNFIELD — Hard work has paid off for Lynnfield High senior Lexi Allain.
Superintendent Jane Tremblay presented Allain with the Superintendent’s Award for Excellence during the Nov. 19 School Committee meeting.
“It feels great receiving an award that recognizes my success and how hard I have been working over four years,” said Allain in an interview with the Villager after the meeting.
Tremblay said it was an honor to present Allain with the Superintendent’s Award.
“One of my favorite things to do is presenting the Superintendent’s Award,” said Tremblay. “Alexis is truly amazing.”
Since September 2016 through the end of the first quarter, Allain has a 4.85 GPA at Lynnfield High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is currently taking five Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

Allain has won a number of academic awards over the course of her tenure at LHS. During Underclass Awards Night last June, Allain was presented with the Harvard Book Award, the AP Chemistry Award and the Honors Pre-Calculus Award. She also received the Rensselaer Medal, which is a $100,000 scholarship to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
During Underclass Awards Night in June 2018, Allain received the Honors Chemistry Award. She was presented with the Honors Biology Award, Honors English Award, Honors French Award and the Honors Geometry Award during Underclass Awards Night in June 2017.
In addition to being recognized for academics, Allain has received a number of athletic awards as well. The two-year varsity cheerleading captain was named a Cape Ann League First-Team All-Star and received the cheerleading team’s Coaches Award in November 2018. Allain received the Student Coach Leadership Award from Lynnfield Youth Cheerleading in November 2016.
Allain is also a member of the girls’ lacrosse team and previously competed with the Masconomet-Lynnfield co-op gymnastics team in 2017. She competed with the girls’ indoor track team in the winter of 2018.
Additionally, Allain is a current member of the high school math team and is a Compass advisor. She also works as a cashier at Market Basket in Middleton. She volunteers as a chaperone for Lynnfield Recreation’s ski club and has completed over 300 hours of community service with St. Pius V Church’s Youth Neighbors in Action program.
“I cannot think of a student at the high school who is more deserving of this award than Alexis,” said Tremblay.
Allain is currently going through the college search process. She is applying to Boston College, RPI, Boston University, Northeastern University, Georgia Tech, Harvard University, Brown University, Tufts University and Holy Cross.
“I want to be a biomedical engineer,” said Allain.
Allain’s parents, Kerrianne and Dennis, both said they were “super proud” of their daughter.
“I don’t think there is anybody who works as hard as Lexi,” said Kerrianne. “She is dedicated for sure.”
Dennis agreed.
“Lexi is the hardest worker I have ever met,” said Dennis.
After Tremblay presented Allain with the award, she was given a round of applause. Allain had only one thing on her mind after receiving the award.
“I have to go do homework,” she said.
