Congratulations to the Hornets of the Week: Soultana Tsaparlis, Cody Cannalonga, Ali Grasso, Kristina Valenti, Madeline Koenig and Christopher Mangano. Soultana, a sophomore on the girls’ indoor track team, won the high jump event with a height of 4’ 6 “ in a recent meet against Triton. Cody, a sophomore on the boys’ varsity basketball team, had 19 points with five 3-pointers to lead North Reading to a 70-39 victory over Pentucket. Ali, a senior captain on the girls’ varsity basketball team, had 13 points against Georgetown and 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in North Reading’s victory over Newburyport. Kristina qualified for states and sectional meets in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle. Madeline broke a 10-year school record in the 100 backstroke in a victory over Lynnfield. Christopher qualified for sectional and state meets in the 50 and 100 freestyle and the butterfly. Congratulations to Soultana, Cody, Ali, Kristina, Madeline, Christopher and all your teammates!
