MELROSE — Stuart F. Holm Jr., 93, of Melrose passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

Stuart was born May 1, 1926 in Melrose, son of the late Stuart and Mae (Tierney) Holm. He was a resident of Melrose for most of his life. Stuart was a graduate of Immaculate Conception in Malden and Melrose High School. He was a WWII United States Marine veteran and held the rank of Corporal. Stuart worked as a food distribution salesman all around New England for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and talking with family and friends.

Stuart is survived by his brother Bruce Holm of Beverly, two nieces Ann Marie Lee and Colleen Holm Votour, many cousins including his best friend Robert D. DiGiovanni of Melrose, H. Claire Riley of Reading, Joan Scalese of Belmont and Kathleen Anno of Lynnfield. He is also survived by his dear friend and neighbor Ken Brown of Melrose.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday, February 20. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend.
