PEABODY — Paige Thibedeau, Jenna DiNapoli and Audrey Buckley, North Reading members of the Peabody/Lynnfield/North Reading 2021 co-op varsity girls’ ice hockey team, have been named All-Stars for the Northeastern League.
Together, the girls helped their team place first for the title of 2021 Division 1 Northeastern League Champions with a season record of 12-1. This is their third consecutive season as League Champions.
Thibedeau, a senior forward, was named a first team All-Star with a career best 12 goals over 13 games to lead the North Shore, in addition to four assists for 16 points. She had her first career hat trick in a win over Beverly, three multi-goal games and five multi-point contests.
DiNapoli, a sophomore center, was named third team All-Star with five goals and 10 assists for 15 points, tying second in the league. She had the game winning goal in the victory over Winthrop to avenge the team’s only loss. She also had four multi-point games.
Buckley, a junior goalie, was awarded honorable mention. She had 11 wins in the 12 games she played, tying for first place with most minutes in net with 540. She had two shutouts, a .917 save percentage, a 1.58 goals against average and 212 saves.
