Cardello-Obit-webDANVERS — Agrippino “Pete” Cardello, 85, of Danvers and formerly of North Reading, died at his home on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

Born in East Boston on June 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Rose (Simoli) Cardello. He was a graduate of Boston Mechanic Arts High School, Class of 1947. Pete was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a Sergeant and served from 1951 to 1953.

Pete was a salesman for Pastene Wine and Spirits in Somerville, from 1965 to 1991. He also worked for Arthur’s Liquors in Everett, from 1955 to 1965 and W.T. Grant’s in Medford from 1953 to 1955.

He was dedicated to his family. He loved to talk, he enjoyed food, people and his work. He has been a resident of Danvers for the past five years and a former resident of North Reading for 50 years, where he was a member of St. Theresa Church.

Family members include his loving wife of 60 years, Eleanor (Columbare) Cardello; his son, Peter Cardello and his wife Madeleine of Topsfield and his daughter, Patricia Ceasar and her husband Scott of Montclair, N.J.; his grandson, Matthew Cardello of Topsfield; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Salvatore and Joseph Cardello Jr.

His Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 21 at St. Theresa Church, 63 Winter St. (Rt. 62), North Reading. Calling hours were held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
