LYNNFIELD — Planning Board Co-Chairman Alan Dresios was re-elected to the board in the annual town election Monday.

Dresios was elected to a one-year term on the Planning Board after receiving 252 votes in his write-in campaign. He pulled nomination papers earlier this year but did not return them before the Feb. 22 deadline.

The longtime Planning Board member opted to run for the one-year term left open after Randall Crompton moved out of town.

According to the official results released by Town Clerk Trudy Reid, Dresios received 71 votes in Precinct 1, 57 votes in Precinct 2, 54 in Precinct 3 and 70 in Precinct 4.

Lynnbrook Road resident Al Sylvia finished a close second in the Planning Board race after receiving 183 votes. The former Lynnfield Villager editor and publisher received 32 votes in Precinct 1, 44 votes in Precinct 2, 42 votes in Precinct 3 and 65 votes in Precinct 4.

Pagos Way resident Tomasz Pagos received 131 votes in the race. Pagos received 51 votes in Precinct 1, 15 votes in Precinct 2, 30 votes in Precinct 3 and 35 votes in Precinct 4.

Political newcomer Michael Sheehan will be joining Dresios on the Planning Board after he received 1,024 votes. Sheehan, who was elected to the five-year term vacated by Dresios, received 294 votes in Precinct 1, 190 votes in Precinct 2, 215 votes in Precinct 3 and 325 votes in Precinct 4.

New Library trustee

Richard Mazzola, 14 Sylvan Circle, was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Library Trustees after he launched a successful write-in campaign. Mazzola, who was an active member of the Lynnfield Business Coalition, received 89 votes. He received 15 votes in Precinct 1, 44 votes in Precinct 2, 10 votes in Precinct 3 and 20 votes in Precinct 4.

Mazzola will succeed former Library Trustee Ann Miller.

Library Trustee Faith Honer-Coakley was re-elected to the board once again after receiving 1,143 votes. Honer-Coakley received 324 votes in Precinct 1, 230 votes in Precinct 2, 229 votes in Precinct 3 and 360 votes in Precinct 4.

Uncontested races

Political newcomer Rich Sjoberg was elected to a three-year term on the School Committee after receiving 997 votes. He received 259 votes in Precinct 1, 206 votes in Precinct 2, 213 votes in Precinct 3 and 319 votes in Precinct 4.

School Committee member Dorothy Presser was re-elected to a seventh three-year term after receiving 951 votes. She received 260 votes in Precinct 1, 190 votes in Precinct 2, 194 votes in Precinct 3 and 307 votes in Precinct 4.

Richard O’Neil Jr. was re-elected to a three-year term on the Board of Assessors after receiving 1,204 votes. O’Neil received 337 votes in Precinct 1, 243 votes in Precinct 2, 250 votes in Precinct 3 and 374 votes in Precinct 4.

Town Moderator Arthur Bourque was re-elected to another term after receiving 1,144 votes. Bourque, who was elected town moderator in 2012, received 313 votes in Precinct 1, 227 votes in Precinct 2, 243 votes in Precinct 3 and 361 votes in Precinct 4.

Ross Drive resident Susan Broder was elected to a two-year term on the Housing Authority after receiving 1,077 votes. Broder, who will succeed former Housing Authority member Barbara Casey, received 301 votes in Precinct 1, 217 votes in Precinct 2, 228 votes in Precinct 3 and 331 votes in Precinct 4.
