Generazzo-obit-webWAKEFIELD — Alice M. Generazzo died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 27, with all of her children by her side.

She was born on January 25, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marion (Barry) Homer.

Alice married the love of her life, Albert J. Generazzo, on January 16, 1951. They were blessed with five children and she devoted her life to their upbringing stressing the importance of family, kindness, good manners, and respectfulness of others. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and socializing with family and friends when not planning one of her more than 30 trips to Las Vegas with her husband, Albert, prior to his death.

Alice was also predeceased by her siblings Dorothy Gretsky, Beatrice Lovett, Barbara Johnson, Marion Capano, Donald, William, Sonny, and Joseph Homer.

She is survived by her children: Kathleen Martino and husband Richard, Albert J. Generazzo, Jr., and fiancée, Allene Crusco, all of Wakefield, MaryAnn Walsh and husband Arthur of Lowell, Michelle Generazzo of Wakefield, and Michael Generazzo and wife Jamie of Pembroke. As well as 10 grandchildren: Michael Martino and wife Tracy, Jaime Russell and husband Benjamin, Courtney Kovach and husband Jon, Aimee Tucker and husband John, Mark Martino and fiancée Lindsay Zirpolo, Tara Cronin and husband Jim, Shannon, Emily, Mia and Ava Generazzo.

God’s gifts did not stop there. Alice was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Bowen, Garrett, Harlow, Quinn, Celia, Jack and Arianna. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o’clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
