LYNNFIELD — Two members of the Lynnfield High boys’ track and field team were named to the Cape Ann League All-Star team this spring.

Senior, Nickson Joseph, made the CAL First-Team All-Stars in the high jump while sophomore, Joe Cucciniello, made the CAL-Second-Team All-Stars in the triple jump.

At the team’s awards banquet in June, Cucciniello was the team’s MVP while Joseph was the Rookie of the Year as this was his first season on the team despite being a senior.

The Coaches Awards went to senior captains, Dean Bey (high jump) and Nicolas Marcinowski (thrower).

Fellow senior captain, Mike O’Brien, who is also a thrower, received the Academic Award.

Along wit, Joseph, Bey, O’Brien and Marcinowski, the Pioneers will also lose Brennan Curly to graduation.

Lynnfield went 1-6 this season as they came in third place in the CAL Baker Division under head coach Bill Wallace.
