Loving grandmother, great–grandmother

MEDFORD — Anna L. (Tarallo) DeCola of Medford died on Thursday, April 7. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Sabino and Angelina (Saccinto) Tarallo. “Nana” loved children and babysat for relatives and friends for many years. She enjoyed summers at Wright’s Pond, playing cards, doing puzzles and watching movies.
Anna was the beloved wife of Nicholas A. DeCola and the devoted mother of Angela Wantman and her husband James, James DeCola and his wife Catherine, all of North Reading, the late Nicholas A. DeCola Jr. and his surviving wife Elaine of Malden. She was the loving grandmother of James R. Marshall and his wife Kasia of Methuen, Jennifer Marshall and Deva Parkin of Boulder, CO, Elizabeth Fortuna and her husband James of Huntington Beach, CA, Robert J. DeCola and Brigitta Patterson of Medford, Trina and Tyler Wantman of North Reading. Anna was the loving great–grandmother of Maya, Nicholas, Sarah and Michael, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday, April 16, at 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 2 through 4 p.m. Interment will be private.
