WAKEFIELD – Anne M. Bonanno, of Wakefield passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 2, 2019.
Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Gaspare and Frances (Natale) Castiglione.
Anne was a graduate of Everett High School and Boston Business School. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1964. She was a dedicated volunteer for over 40 years at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital working in the gift shop, medical library and pre-admissions testing.
She was the wife of the late Joseph C. Bonanno and is survived by her two daughters; Deborah Bonanno and her partner James Benedict and Lisa Blaustein and her husband Steven. She also leaves behind her brother Francis Castiglione and his family.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4- 7 p.m.
