Former assistant building inspector

Anthony-Coletta-webLYNNFIELD — Anthony G. Coletta died at the age of 87.

He was a Stoneham native and graduated from Stoneham High School in 1946. Tony was a supervisor who worked for many years at General Foods and was the assistant building inspector for the town of Lynnfield before retiring. Tony married Nancy Richardson in 1957 and was happily married for 58 years. Tony and Nancy moved from Stoneham to Lynnfield where they raised their children.

Tony leaves behind his children Robert, Richard, Jane and Steven, along with their spouses. Tony loved his family, which included seven grandchildren: Derek, Brian, Kevin, Anthony, Veronica, Anna and Gray. He also leaves behind his nephew Doug Richardson and his family, Janice, Jennifer, Ashley and Dougie.

Besides his family Tony’s interests included history, sports and western movies. Tony was a man of kindness, character, integrity and generosity he treated everyone with respect and always wore a smile. He will be remembered in the heart of many.

Tony’s funeral was held at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Rte. 28) Stoneham on Saturday, June 27, followed by a funeral Mass celebrating Tony’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham. Family and friends gathered to share remembrances with the family on Friday, June 26 in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors took place at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
