WAKEFIELD — Arthur Cabral, Jr., 72, of Wakefield died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.

Born in Winchester on December 8, 1946 he was the son of the late Arthur and Helen (O’Donnell) Cabral.

Mr. Cabral was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served during Vietnam as an Army intelligence specialist. He had retired as a systems analyst from the Mayo Medical Laboratories of New England and enjoyed vacationing in Tamworth, N.H.

He was the beloved husband of Judith A. (Turner) Cabral. He was the loving father of Terry-Ann Devlin and her husband Matthew of Abington and Stephanie C. Luis and her husband Richard of Belmont. He was the brother of Thomas J. Cabral of Maine and the late Robert and Joseph Cabral.
He was the cherished grandfather of Meghan, Abigail, Katelyn, and Charlize.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
