WAKEFIELD — Barbara A. Lomas, 89, a longtime resident of Wakefield, died at her home on Tuesday June 19, 2018.
Born in Boston, June 23, 1930 she was the wife of the late Anthony and Angelina Lopardi.
Barbara was a graduate of East Boston High School class of 1947. A Wakefield resident since 1966, she was a retired secretary for the former American Mutual Insurance Company, and was also a former Crossing Guard for the town of Wakefield. Barbara was known in the family for being a great mother, grandmother and mother- in-law. She was also a very accomplished cook.
She was the wife of the late Howard K. Lomas and is survived by her two sons: Howard G. Lomas and his wife Linda of Wakefield and Fred Lomas of Methuen and her sister Sally Roman of North Andover. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Cassandra, Mark, Eric and Sara.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
