WAKEFIELD — Barbara Jean Sullivan, 88, of Wakefield, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Sunrise Assisted Living in Lynnfield.
Born in Everett on October 30, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bridie (Draddy) Merrick.
Mrs. Sullivan was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1972 and was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church. She loved dancing and vacationing in Alton Bay, New Hampshire.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Sullivan. She was the loving mother of Richard E. Sullivan, Jr., Robert D. Sullivan, Thomas F. Sullivan and wife Judy, and Cathy A. Boyages. She was the sister of the late Ellen Berry and Robert Boardman. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m.
