Loved to shop, sew and do crossword puzzles

MELROSE — Barbara Ann Morrison passed away peacefully on January 31. Barbara was born on June 25, 1933, in Melrose to the late Joseph Sheridan and the late Marie Sheridan-Copp. Barbara was a loving big sister and the oldest of nine. She is survived by Marie Copp, Charlie Sheridan, Joseph Sheridan and Sandra Crowley. She was predeceased by siblings Joan Ross, Richard Sheridan, James Sheridan and Robert Sheridan. She cherished her time with her siblings, their spouses and her many nieces and nephews. Barbara grew up and lived in Melrose until she met, fell in love and married her husband Dan. They started their life together in Everett and moved with their four children to Melrose in 1968.

Barbara was a strong, talented and loving woman. She was willing to tackle just about any project. She renovated practically her entire home inside and out. Her hobbies were reading, sewing, knitting, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to shop. She loved to put thoughtful gifts together for birthdays and holidays. She loved to collect teddy bears and angels and liked to make sure Fritos, peanut butter cups and Werther’s hard candies were close at hand. Her greatest passion though was spending time with family and close friends. She was always there to listen and lend a helping hand.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Daniel A Morrison. They shared a loving marriage for 65 years. She was the loving mother of the late Linda Rosatone and her husband Luigi; Daniel Morrison and his wife Geri; Susan Waldron and her husband David; and Nancy Williams and her husband Jim. She was also the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren: Maria, Anthony, Courtney, Christopher, Ashley, Kayla, James, Jake, Matthew, Zachary, Ava, Aidan, Brady, the late Danielle and the late Gianna. Barbara was also blessed with 15 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by so many.

A funeral service was held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her name to The Danny Williams Memorial Golf Tournament, 31 Hesseltine Ave., Melrose, MA 02176.
