WAYLAND – Bartholomew D. Barry, Jr., 75, on Nov. 27, 2018 in Boston. Resided in Wayland and raised in Wakefield.

Graduate of the United States Military Academy 1965 (set USMA ice hockey scoring records), non-degree graduate study at USC, Duke and Caltech.

U.S. Army Airborne Ranger with service in Vietnam, Germany, Alaska and Washington state. Awarded Silver Star, Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Army Commendation Medal with Valor and Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Medal and Combat Infantry Badge.

Served as Director of Corporate Strategic Planning & Standardization – Polaroid Corp. Director of Global Blade Edge Technology – Gillette.

Predeceased by parents Bartholomew D. and Lillian Francis (Gill) Barry of Wakefield and brother Brian Barry of Seoul, South Korea. Survived by fiancé Jacqueline Duffort-Cecil, son Bartholomew D. Barry III, daughters Heather Ma, Amy Wacaser and Jacqueline Wright; brother Robert Barry and sister Lillian Suslavich, and seven grandchildren.

Services were private with interment at Arlington National Cemetery.
