MELROSE — The Braves are Melrose Babe Ruth 2018 champions.

The Braves successfully completed the postseason tournament with a 5-1 record culminating with a 14-5 victory in the championship game over the number-one seeded Giants.

Led by the pitching of Matthew Fox, Dom Drago, and Tim Clifford, the Braves were able to prevail with six games in 10 days.

The pitching was bolstered by the exceptional outfield play of Jaret Crockwell, Justin Camelio, and Nick Lecce. Matthew Whelan and Leo Costa were dominant defensively both at shortstop and catcher respectively. Lastly, Chad Costa, Justin Petty, Michael Lipsett, and Chris Gill all provided timely hitting.

All combined, these Braves had an exceptional postseason run both offensively and defensively culminating in winning the 2018 Melrose Babe Ruth Championship.
