WAKEFIELD — Carole Devlin, 80, a longtime resident of Wakefield died Friday February 9, 2018, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Brownsville Junction, Maine, March 9, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Cedric and Gertrude (Berry) Hamlin.

Carole was raised in Maine. She was a graduate of Morse High School in Bath, Maine. Carole, along with her husband Dan and four boys moved to Wakefield in 1964. She worked for the Fraen Corporation in Wakefield before making a career change to the Internal Revenue Service as a data transcriber. During the summer she enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Richmond, Maine.

Carole was the beloved wife of Daniel J. Devlin. She was the loving mother of Steven Devlin and wife Susan, Tim Devlin, Patrick Devlin and wife Michele, all of Wakefield, and the late Michael Devlin and his late wife Lisa.She was the sister of Bob, Sheila, Teddy, Gayle, Donna, and the late Eddie and Gina. Carole is also survived by her six grandchildren; Eric, Chris, Rachel, Sean, Megan, and Leah and three great-grandchildren; Dylan, Zachary, and Eli.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home.
