MELROSE — On Super Bowl Sunday, the Lynnfield High girls’ basketball team rolled over Melrose 42-23 in a non-league contest. With that win, the Pioneers were able to sweep the Red Raiders this winter as they improved to 8-6 overall.

GLOUCESTER — The Lynnfield-North Reading co-op wrestling team finished third in the Cape Ann League/Northeastern Conference Tournament at Gloucester High School on Saturday, Feb. 1.

BOSTON — In the final meet of the regular season on Jan. 27 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, the Lynnfield High boys’ indoor track and field team beat Hamilton-Wenham, 57-28.

LYNNFIELD – Sitting at 2-6 two games ago, things were not looking good for the Lynnfield boys’ basketball team. With what seemed like an insurmountable mountain to climb, the Pioneers were able to steer the ship back on course picking up big wins against Ipswich and Pentucket.

PEABODY — The LHS girls’ and boys’ swim teams competed against North Reading/Wilmington in their final meets of the CAL season. It was also Senior Night for the Pioneers who honored the class of 2020 for their dedication and commitment to the program.

PEABODY — Last Saturday afternoon, the Lynnfield High hockey team played visiting North Reading at McVann-O’Keefe Rink in Peabody. The game ended in a scoreless tie officially but they did play an overtime session and the Pioneers scored a couple of minutes in to get a Cape Ann League
