MELROSE — Some heavy city hitters stood shoulder-to-shoulder with developer Mark Carroll as he proposed a total redevelopment of the tired commercial building across Essex Street from City Hall.

MELROSE — The city’s  Commission on Disability is getting closer to realty.

The City Council approved its creation a while ago, and now the Melrose Commission on Disability must be added to the city’s Administrative Code. That request was moved to the council’s Appropriations Committee at a meeting Tuesday
