Mayor makes override pitch to aldermen

MELROSE — This week the aldermen seemed poised to put a $5.18 million Proposition 2 1/2 override question on a special April 2, 2019 election ballot.

Their Appropriations Committee agreed Tuesday night to forward the request from Mayor Gail Infurna to the full Board of Aldermen, which meets this coming Monday.

Melrose joins regional bike share system

MELROSE — Dockless bike share in the City of Melrose has officially launched, with Melrose joining a 15-community regional system in Boston’s inner suburbs. Coordinated by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), the system also includes the communities of Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Milton, Newton, Needham, Revere, Waltham, Watertown
