Brodeur election opens House seat

MELROSE — Paul Brodeur, who represents half of Wakefield in the state House of Representatives, was elected mayor of Melrose yesterday.

Brodeur won with about 60 percent of the roughly 10,000 votes cast over Melrose Councilor-at-Large Monica Medeiros. His victory will now require a special election to fill Brodeur’s seat serving…
