THE OLD FRAEN BUILDING at 338 Main St. (behind the Wakefield Co-operative Bank) met the wrecking ball this morning as demolition was underway of office building to prepare the site for the future Brightview Senior Living facility. The building was once home to Fraen Corporation, a manufacturer of electronics and optical instrumentation for a variety of industries. The company years ago moved its operations to 80 Newcrossing Rd. in Reading but retained ownership of the building and leased it for office space until the property was acquired recently by Shelter Corporation, the parent company of Brightview.
