National Grid helicopter to survey electric transmission system

WAKEFIELD — Beginning January 12, National Grid will conduct a visual, helicopter-assisted survey of its entire transmission system along statewide rights-of-way. This initiative will include areas of Wakefield.

JBI, National Grid’s licensed vendor, will be flying a blue and yellow Bell 206 helicopter to perform this survey. 

All patrols will fly just above transmission-tower…
